Our Story

The London Yoga Therapy Centre was born out of a simple, powerful vision: healthcare should treat the whole person, not just the symptom.

Re-imagined for the vibrant, diverse population it serves today, the Centre was founded to support individuals and families across generations-helping you reclaim agency over your health and build sustainable, long-term vitality.

Made in South London. Informed by Ancient Wisdom. Delivered With Care.

At the heart of our Centre is Dr Sangeeta Mittal. Her approach sits at a rare and powerful intersection: she is a trained medical doctor, with health and dance psychology degrees and an expert yoga specialist.

Raised in a culture where yogic models are integral to daily life, Dr Mittal went on to complete her medical training and work across some of the UK’s most respected institutions. Her medical career spanned hospital care, research with breast cancer survivors, and global health and pharmaceutical innovation.

Through this diverse clinical journey, Dr Mittal gained deep insight into both the strengths of modern medicine and its key limitations-especially when individuals are navigating life transitions, grief, chronic pain, or complex health challenges. She saw a clear need for personalised, preventive care that looks beyond the prescription.

A Modern Approach to Healing steeped in Ancient Wisdom.

After stepping away from clinical practice, Dr Mittal dedicated herself to advanced, specialised yoga therapy training. Today, she combines the precision and safety of her medical background with evidence-informed, holistic mind-body care.

At the core of her practice is a belief that true longevity comes from living mindfully, with purpose, and a deep felt-sense of connection with local community.

Dr Mittal and her team offer specialist, trauma-sensitive support for:

  • Women’s & Reproductive Health: Fertility, pregnancy, postnatal care, and perimenopause.

  • Complex Physical Health: Autoimmune conditions, endocrine disorders, musculoskeletal issues, cardiac, and gut health.

  • Mental & Emotional Well-being: Support for anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, and cancer-related fatigue.

In addition to 1:1 clinical sessions, Dr Mittal remains deeply committed to health equity, offering weekly donation-based classes for NHS patients through the Yoga4Health Social Prescribing Initiative.
