What to expect
Everything you need to know
Your first session
Every Yoga therapy programme begins with an ‘intake’ - a complimentary consultation. This is a relaxed, confidential space to explore your needs, goals and lifestyle, which forms the basis of your panchamayakosha assessment- the fundamental yoga-informed approach to therapy.
We’ll discuss any physical, emotional, or mental health concerns you may have and begin to outline a personalised plan for your sessions.
There’s no obligation. It’s just a chance to ask questions, be seen and heard, and provide you insight to reflect on whether this approach might feel like something you want to try and give you a safe space to explore your goals.
How sessions work
Each session is tailored specifically to you and draws on a unique combination of:
Yoga-based practices: including breathwork (pranayama), mindful movement (asana), and relaxation (also with nidra).
Talking therapy: a confidential non-judgemental space to reflect, explore your awareness, and feel listened to.
Physical therapy principles: gentle, functional techniques to support strength, mobility and recovery to take into your day to day life.
You do not need to be flexible, experienced or “good” at Yoga - the work is deeply adaptive, grounded in therapeutic aims and always responsive to your energy on the day.
Our combined medical and psychological therapeutic expertise means that you are in safe hands at all times, with any contraindicated practices excluded from your bespoke programme.
